Beautifully balanced and virtually uncolored in ears with amazing depth and clarity, the Reference triple driver brings out the character of your instrument or the subtleties of a mix. Crisp highs, smooth mid-range, and punchy low end give performers and listeners an immersive monitoring experience.
The Reference triple driver is exceptional on keys and acoustic guitar where a wide range and balance is necessary. The Reference has a subtle roll off in the sub-bass range creating a natural filter that tightens up the sound and cuts unwanted extra frequencies. This makes it ideal for wide ranged acoustic instruments or vocals. It doesn’t have the headroom in the low end that the Tour triple driver does, so it may not perform well on bass, drums, or other elements that require a hefty low end headroom.
If you need balance and accuracy but need or like more low end in your in ears, try the RSM or Studio4 quad drivers. If you are a drummer or bass player, go for the Tour triple driver for more headroom.
Front of house, studio engineers, and audiophiles will appreciate the way the Reference accurately reproduces source material. Players of full range instruments (piano, keyboard, acoustic guitar), multi-instrumentalists, and those singing while playing will find that the Reference’s full range balance perfectly complements their instruments.
